Paper Pro

We consider Paper to be an essential tool for everyday creation. Paper's core features are accessible to all customers, free of charge.

Paper Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks premium features and content.
  • Journal Sync. Back up your journals to iCloud and sync between devices.
  • Multiple brush sizes. Small, medium, and large.
  • Paste between pages. Copy and paste ink from one page to another.
  • Multiple page selection. Export, delete, or duplicate multiple pages at a time.
  • Diagram, Cut and Fill tools. 
  • Unlimited color swatches. Never run out of colors.
  • Premium covers. Customize your journals with beautifully crafted designs.

Paper Pro on multiple devices
It is possible to use Paper Pro on multiple devices as long as you're signed in to the iTunes Store with the same Apple ID.
On your second device, tap on the Settings icon (siders) top right and then "Paper Pro". On the next screen, tap on the "Restore Purchase" link.
Family Sharing
Family sharing works when you purchase an app outright. Paper is a free app. Family sharing doesn’t work for in-app purchases like Paper Pro.
Cancelling Paper Pro
You can cancel Paper Pro at any time and have access to Paper Pro features for the full duration of the six months or year. Tap on this link from your iPad or iPhone:
  • Tap on Paper by FiftyThree.
  • Tap on "Cancel Subscription".



If you feel like you've purchased Paper Pro by mistake, you can contact Apple for a refund.

  1. Go to and sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase Paper Pro.
  2. You should see your recent purchases. Select the App tab if you don't.
  3. Select "Report" a Problem to the right of your Paper Pro purchase.
  4. Select the reason from "Choose Problem".
  5. Enter details about your problem and then click "Submit".
  6. You should hear back from Apple within a few days to a week with whether your request for a refund is approved.
Legacy status
Users who created a Paper account prior to November 30, 2017 have access to Legacy status. Legacy status includes:
  • Diagram, Cut and Fill tools. 
  • Templates: Device Set.
  • Templates: Planner Set.
